Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, my love for fishing started at a young age bass fishing with my grandpa at Falcon Lake. At 12 years old, I made the transition to saltwater fishing with my dad and brother, and it didn’t take long for the Lower Laguna Madre to become home. From borrowing my Uncle Sonny’s boat to eventually getting my own skiff, I spent countless hours exploring the bay, learning its patterns, and figuring out what makes this fishery so special.
Over the years, that passion turned into a career doing what I love. Today, I specialize in sight casting and light tackle fishing out of South Padre Island and Arroyo City, with a focus on hunting redfish across the shallow grass flats. There’s nothing quite like spotting a fish in skinny water, making the right cast, and watching it all come together.
For me, guiding is about more than catching fish. It’s about sharing what I’ve learned, helping anglers improve their skills, and giving people a chance to experience the beauty of the Lower Laguna Madre firsthand. Whether we’re sight casting redfish, wading for trout, or exploring the bay, my goal is to make every trip a memorable one and leave you with a better appreciation for the fishery we’re lucky to call home.
